K I have now become a fan of gothic romance articularly when Sandra Byrd is at the helmThe brooding heroes who we want so desperately to believe are good even while the evidence iles up to the contrary The heroines in dire straits yet still strong and independent The shadowy mysteries that swirl around them The rather spooky atmosphere that
drapes across the ag 25 starsI m sorry to say that Iacross the ag 25 starsI m sorry to say that I t enjoy this one as much as the others in this series The romance was rather underdeveloped I felt like I was reading about a teenage girl who kept insisting that she wasn t falling in love but was in love with the man in uestion after a couple of outings Her love interest was a moral and decent man sweet "Enough In His Sentiments And Actions But "in his sentiments and actions but just didn t feel the chemistry between the two of themThe mystery surrounding the heroine s father also underwhelmed me It was all too nebulous filled with bumps in the night and rather odd innuendos The Gothic feel of this novel wasn t enough to carry this storyOverall I enjoyed the clean content the spiritual message and the lack of OTT drama Unfortunately the story itself lus the delivery left something to be desired SuuuueeeealllllllJustSuuuueallllllI am still light headed with residual Gothic Romance Glee The first grown up books that I read as a teen were classics in this genre Victoria Holt Mary Stewart Phyllis A Whitney so I can t help but get a tad shy of giddy when I discover a new one and A Lady in Disguise is exuisitely erfect in absolutely every wayDeliciously sinister evil threatens Gillian at every turn as she sifts through layers of intrigue Danger draws ever closer as she Learner Strategies in Language Learning persists in searching for the truth about her father s death Thrillinglot twists and a host of interesting characters kept me glued to the age as I tried to discern friend from foe right along with this intrepid heroineAnd then there s Viscount Thomas Lockwood Be Still My Heart My toes are still curled and Ust before his death; and a receipt for a large sum of money Are these items evidence of her father’s guilty secrets His longtime olice Just Destiny partner thinks soThen Gillian meets the dashing Viscount Thomas Lockwood Their attraction is instant and inescapable As their romantic involvement grows Gillian begins to suspect even Lockwood’s motives Does Lord Lockwood truly love her Or is his interest a front for the desire to own her newly inheritedroperty And what should she make of her friend’s suggestion. Y fainting couch has lost most of it s ouffe from all my swooning Dashing hero with a commanding "Presence And An Air Of "and an air of Need I say I could wax oetic all day Especially over some of the exhilarating dialogue between Thomas and Gillian The art of saying one thing while meaning something entirely different The "romantic tension between these two is alpable and mesmerizing to readBut then "tension between these two is Dignity Rising 1: Gefesselte Seelen palpable and mesmerizing to readBut then danger turns even ominous as menacing evilreys upon Gillian and there comes a The Book of Mordred point when you won t be able tout this book down In fact A Lady in Disguise should really come with a warningDo not attempt to read this book on Oracle R12 Applications DBA Field Guide public transit You will miss your bus and forget to get off at the right stop which will cause you to arrive late for appointments though you won t even care because it will give you reading timeAnd woe be the reader who reaches a certainoint in the story while riding on the bus That happened to me so I speak with authority My eyes welled up I got a lump in my throat and I struggled for breath as outrage and despair consumed me I tried to explain away the red eyes and sniffles as allergies but my fellow Wie war das noch?
